Ana Romero del Hombrebueno Miralles  (Ana Romero)

Female Classical Trumpet Player Ana Romero Ana Romero was Born in Daimiel (La Mancha, Spain), Ana Romero studied a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) at the Royal Conservatoire of Music of Madrid RCSMM, followed by a Master's Degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland RCS, with Nigel Boddice MBE as one of her main lecturers.

Ana has played with the RTVe orchestra, the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra RSNO, the BBC SSCO Orchestra, the Scottish Opera Orchestra, the Manchester Camerata Orchestra, the CLM Orchestra,  the Pro Youth Philharmonia (London), and was offered a two-year contract with the Orchestra Beijing China. Ana has performed under the batons of conductors such as Pablo Heras-Casado, Jiří Rožeň, Jerker Johansson, Wilson Ng, and Alpesh Chauhan OBE.

She has participated in the international brass competitions in Vienna and Berlin, obtaining a special mention in Berlin. During her Masters at the RCS, she was a finalist in the Governors Prize Trumpet Competition, was awarded Highly Commended in the David James Brass Competition and won the Apprenticeship Schemes auditions with the Orchestras RSNO, BBC SSO and Scottish Opera. She was the Conductor of the King's Park Brass Band in Scotland for two years until the beginning of the pandemic. She collaborated in the publication of the educational books TrumpetStar (Germany and Austria), and is also a registered Private Tutor, having studied a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Arts. She enjoys taking on board enthusiastic and talented trumpet students.
 
Ana loves to perform as a Soloist Trumpet Player, and her international experience in Solo Performances includes Germany (Brass Sahuerland International Festival), Malta (Victoria Arts International Festival), Norway (Nord Odal and Oslo), Mexico (Vientos de la Montaña International Festival),  the Maldives, and the UK,  including Solo Performances with the Glasgow Sinfonia, the Highland Orchestra, the Royal Regiment of Scotland, and the Strings Orchestra at the Islay Cantilena Festival.

     She is also a member of the Duo Spanish Roses, performing as part of Westbourne Music Series, Rannoch Music Series and Jordanhill Music Series.
